Onemor is a product of Wired Free (United Kingdom). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. Questions: enquiries@onemor.app.
The short version
Onemor has no accounts and no login. We do not sell your data, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and your scan history stays on your own device. We count visits anonymously so we know what is working. We only hold your email address or your feedback if you choose to give them to us.
What we process, and why
- Searches and barcodes. When you search for a product or scan a barcode, that term or number is sent to Open Food Facts to fetch the product's nutrition data. It is not linked to you.
- Label photos. If you photograph a label, the image is sent to Google's Gemini service to transcribe the text on it. It is used only to produce your result. Onemor does not store your photos.
- Your scan history and settings. What you have rated, and your theme choice, are stored only in your browser (local storage) on your device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
- Technical and security data. Like any website, our hosting briefly processes basic connection information, including your IP address, to serve pages and to protect the service from abuse (for example, limiting how often the label reader can be called). This is used for security and reliability, not to build a profile of you.
- Anonymous usage statistics. We record simple events (a page viewed, a product scored, a result shared) with the website or campaign that sent you, your country (worked out from your connection, not stored as an address) and your device type (phone, tablet or computer). We do not store your IP address or use cookies, and nothing follows you between visits: a random visit code is kept only in your browser tab and disappears when you close it. We use this to understand which features and channels are useful (our legitimate interest in running and improving Onemor).
- Early-access email. If you give us your email address, we keep it to tell you about Onemor, including when the full version is ready. We use it only for that, on the basis of your consent, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time.
- Feedback. If you send feedback, we keep your rating, anything you write and the page you were on. Please do not include personal details in your comments.
- Error reports. When something goes wrong, our error-monitoring service receives technical details about the error. For a small share of visits it also receives a short recording of what happened on screen in the app, so we can fix problems. Anything typed into a form (such as your email) is hidden in these recordings.
Third parties we rely on
These services help Onemor work, and each has its own privacy policy: Open Food Facts (the product database), Google (which reads photographed labels), Cloudflare (which hosts the app and stores the usage statistics, early-access emails and feedback, in Western Europe) and Sentry (error monitoring, in the EU). We are not affiliated with any of them. We do not share your information with anyone for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
Onemor does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across the web. The app stores a small amount of information in your browser to remember your recent scans and your theme, and, for the length of a visit only, where that visit came from, as described above.
Children
Onemor is a general-audience educational tool and is not directed at children. It is not intended for use by anyone under 16 without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your rights
Onemor has no accounts, so most of your data is already in your hands and you can delete it by clearing your browser data. If you gave us your email address or sent feedback, you can ask us to show you, correct or delete it. If you are in the UK or EU you have rights under data-protection law, including the right to ask what we hold and to complain to a regulator (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). To make any request, contact enquiries@onemor.app.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app develops (for example, if accounts are added later). The date at the top shows when it last changed.
